Arsenal may have recorded a comfortable victory against Dundalk in the Europa League - but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was keen to see even more.
Two quickfire goals before half-time and then another strike immediately half-time secured the Gunners a 3-0 victory against a spirited Dundalk side who defended valiantly.
The result and comfortable manner of the victory allowed Mikel Arteta to rest some key players ahead of facing Manchester United this weekend.
That includes Aubameyang, who had to make do with a place on the bench and ended up as an unused substitute in the victory.
Yet the attacker was clearly keen to see his side score more as he reacted angrily to a mistake from Kieran Tierney.
At 3-0 up with 10 minutes left, the full-back found himself in space on the wing but smashed a shot over the bar instead of crossing.
It prompted an angry reaction from Aubameyang, who twice pushed the seat in front of him down as he spoke to Alexandre Lacazette about the incident.
There could well have also been frustration at the fact that Aubameyang did not get on the pitch - but Martin Keown backed Arteta's team selection.
"I think they were the right calls," he said.
"If you look at the top players, the internationals, they've already played 14 or 15 games this season.
"The problem with the guys who don’t play is they’re not quite fit enough, so they need minutes on the pitch, but that would’ve been a good night for him, to get the group involved and rest a few of them, the regulars.
"The youngsters coming through, they’re just young kids - Nketiah, Willock, Nelson as well, good performances from them."
