Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's dad posts Arsenal transfer hint on Instagram amid Chelsea links

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s father has appeared to call for his son to commit his future to Arsenal.

The Arsenal captain's contract at the Emirates expires at the end of next season, with fears from supporters that the striker could be sold this summer to prevent losing him on a free.

The  Daily Mail  claim that Arsenal have halted contract talks with Aubameyang and will listen to offers this summer, with Barcelona, Chelsea and Inter Milan all linked with the Gabon international.

The report claims that Aubameyang is looking for an increase on his £200,000-per-week salary next season to make up for the lack of Champions League football.

But with clubs being hit hard financially during the coronavirus pandemic, Arsenal could struggle to meet his demands.

Nevertheless, one Arsenal fan account on Instagram posted an image of Aubameyang signing his original contract with the club back in January 2018, with the caption: "You know what you have to do bro."

And Aubameyang's father then appeared to support the message by reposting it on to his Instagram story.

Former Arsenal striker Charlie Nicholas believes Aubameyang will not agitate for a move away from Arsenal in the symmer.

"I do not think Aubameyang is seeking to leave. He is a superstar at Arsenal," he said.

"He was only a star at Dortmund. If he is thinking about leaving, are Manchester United going to give you more opportunities as it stands? I do not think so.

"Would he get into Liverpool's side? No. Manchester City could be an option so that he could replace Sergio Aguero, but the only alternatives are two giants of Spain, but I do not think he is that type."
