Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's close links to Arsenal fan TV personality 'Troopz' cause captaincy ructions

Arsenal's new captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been asked to cease his association with notorious Youtuber 'Troopz' after it "irritated" his Premier League teammates.

The fan pundit, who is known for his angry appearances on AFTV has become close to the star striker and complaints are reported to have been logged over his appearances in Aubameyang's executive box.

The box is situated next to those of other players and is intended for the use of family and friends.

The station, hosted by Robbie Lyle, has become infamous for post-match rants about players and management by angry fans outside the Emirates.

The Athletic is reporting that people at Arsenal believe AFTV have contributed to the atmosphere of negativity that currently surrounds the club, where manager Unai Emery is a man under serious pressure.

Arsenal players are said to be dismayed by Aubameyang's close links to the station and has 'liked' several of their controversial Instagram posts, including one criticising Emery and another suggesting former captain Granit Xhaka should be sold.

The former Dortmund skipper was only handed the captaincy last week after Xhaka was removed from the position when he got involved in an angry confrontation with fans after he was booed from the field against Crystal Palace.

Former Celtic star Kieran Tierney joined the club on the last day of the transfer window and has been easing his way back into first team action after a serious groin injury.
