Nicolas Pepe announced himself as an Arsenal player with a stunning brace in the Europa League win over Vitoria on Thursday night.
The winger has endured a difficult start to life in north London, with his £72m price-tag being questioned by rival supporters and the media alike.
And whilst there were promising signs during the 1-0 loss against Sheffield United on Monday, he was still looking for that one moment to really ignite his Gunners career.
It finally arrived in the Europa League as he netted two stunning free-kicks to rescue Arsenal from the jaws of defeat and maintain their 100 per cent winning record in the competition this season.
Fans, teammates and Pepe himself were clearly delighted with the late impact, but perhaps nobody inside the Emirates Stadium was has happy as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The striker wasn't in the matchday squad having been rested, but watched the game from the stands and liked what he saw from Pepe in injury time.
As spotted by @shah486 on Twitter, Aubameyang celebrated Pepe's winner like he had found the back of the net himself.
The club's leading scorer firstly gives teammate Sokratis a big tap on the back before hugging the central defender all while having a massive smile on his face.

Gunners head coach Unai Emery is now expected to see the best of Pepe following his brace.
"We are very happy for him because those two goals were perfect," the Spaniard said in his post-match press conference. "He was trying a lot of set pieces on the training ground this week and I was expecting him to shoot because I was positive about having a situation like that.
"I think the most important thing is three points and how some individuals can improve and become more confident."
Next up for Pepe and company is a London derby against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.
That game will see the winger come up against international teammate and a Gunners transfer target in the summer in Wilfried Zaha.
The Palace star was superb in the corresponding fixture last season and Arsenal will need to do a better job against him defensively at the weekend.
