Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang mocks struggling Arsenal team-mate Shkodran Mustafi

Shkodran Mustafi has been having a tough time at Arsenal recently.

The out-of-form defender has come under fire from Gunners fans for his lacklustre defensive display with calls for him to be dropped from the side by Unai Emery.

He's now been publicly mocked by team-mate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for something he did in Monday's 2-0 win against Newcastle - three days after the incident took place.

Mustafi, 26, fluffed his lines after a bold run into opposition territory as he skied a wayward cross into the sky and way beyond his strikers.

The shocking cross brought a chuckle from the crowd and team-mate Aubameyang, who admitted he is still laughing at the mishap.

Clearly seeing the funny side, the striker posted a photo on his Instagram story of him cracking a smile, tagging the location as the moon and captioning it "Still laughing at your cross bro" before tagging Mustafi.

The defender responded by saying "so you sayin not even Drake's show last night entertained you more than my cross" followed by a series of laughing emojis.

A first half strike from Aaron Ramsey gave Arsenal the lead before Aubameyang provided strike partner Alexandre Lacazette for the second goal to seal the game.

Mustafi and his fellow defenders also kept things tight to come away with a rare clean sheet and ensure his blushes were spared after his embarrassing cross.

Although Aubameyang isn't keen to let the German forget it in a hurry, things are going well for the Gunners after they strengthened their grip on a top four spot.
