Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang makes Gabriel Martinelli prediction after Arsenal goal

Gabriel Martinelli stepped in during Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's absence as Arsenal were held by Sheffield United.

Arsenal skipper Aubameyang is serving a three-match suspension following his red card in last week's draw with Crystal Palace .

Martinelli, 18, was handed a start by Mikel Arteta at the Emirates and got himself on the scoresheet.

Bukayo Saka's cross was deflected across the box and Martinelli was on hand to tap in from close range for the home side.

It was not enough for Arsenal to get all three points though as John Fleck scored a late equaliser for Sheffield United at the Emirates.

But Aubameyang was impressed with his teammate and made a big prediction about his future.

On Martinelli, he tweeted: "Gabi is gonna be a superstar. Not because of the goal because of the attitude, energy and mindset."

The draw leaves Arsenal in 10th in the Premier League, trailing Chelsea in fourth by 10 points ahead of their clash with Newcastle .

Arsenal have managed just one win in five Premier League matches under Mikel Arteta and have drawn a league-high 11 times this season.
