Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang believes Arsenal fans are about to experience one of their most exciting seasons in recent memory.
After making a splash in the transfer market, the Gunners recorded a 1-0 win at Newcastle in their Premier League opener on Sunday courtesy of Aubameyang's second-half strike.
The victory for Unai Emery's men was all the more impressive given they were without Alexandre Lacazette through injury, while club record signing Nicolas Pepe only came on for his debut in the 71st minute.
While not a vintage Arsenal display, it was certainly the positive start that the Londoners were craving as they look to return to the top four this term.
And with the Gunners having been without two of their star attackers for their success at the Magpies, Aubameyang knows there is plenty more to come from Emery's men this term.
Aubameyang declared: "For sure it is going to be crazy. I am sure of that.
"I think everybody is excited about that. We will have time to play together and we will see.
"The next game we play at home and we will see what is the decision of the coach, but as I say I am looking forward to it.
"I just watched [Pepe] on TV [before he joined]. I know how he plays and we have tried to connect with him in training.
"For the moment it is going good, very good.
"[When we heard Pepe was coming here] we were happy because we know he can help us to reach our goals. So it is another weapon for us and that is very, very good."
Arsenal were also without Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac for the trip to Newcastle, with the pair stood down over fears about their security following a recent attempted carjacking.
Aubameyang expressed his sympathies to the duo for what they are going through, but hopes they can join him on the pitch again in the near future.
"I think everyone is a bit sad because it is not good when you have problems in life, especially when it is your team-mates. I feel bad for them, but I hope that it is all going to be good for them.
"I am thinking about their families. I know it is not easy, but hopefully the police will do good things for them and protect them.
