Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 'likes' Instagram post about Arsenal team-mate being sold

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has 'liked' an Instagram post claiming Monaco are keen on signing Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi.

The German centre-back has been linked with a move away from Arsenal for most of the summer, although his exit stalled following Laurent Koscielny going on strike.

Monaco are keen on landing the defender, and according to French publication L'Equipe have made a £27million enquiry to Arsenal about the centre-back.

This information was posted to Instagram alongside an image of Mustafi and Aubameyang at Arsenal. The Gabonese forward came across the picture while online and gave it a 'like', seemingly endorsing the transfer news.

Mustafi travelled to America on Arsenal's pre-season tour but was poor in the club's friendly matches against the likes of Lyon, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

The German is keen to remain at the Emirates, and has previously stated it is "odd" there is constant transfer speculation surrounding him.

Arsenal have not been strongly linked with a new centre-back this summer despite it being a position they are in need of strengthening.

They have instead signed a forward and midfielder and are currently linked with another forward in £72million-rated Nicolas Pepe as well as left-back Kieran Tierney.
