Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang hilariously teases Arsenal star about what he did against Newcastle

Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi is not best known for his attacking exploits.

He didn't do himself any favours in that regard against Newcastle in the Gunners 2-0 win on Monday. Though, he almost did.

The 26-year-old German international must have felt inspired as he drove at Newcastle's defence and beat a number of men. What resulted was a rush of blood to the head and a delivery that looked more suited to a Peter Kay advert.

The former Valencia defender was high on the right flank and primed to cross in but launched the ball into the sky to the amusement of many.

Fortunately goals from Aaron Ramsey and Alexandre Lacazette gave Arsenal the win but Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang isn't ready to let Mustafi forget his error just yet.

The Gabon interenational took to Instagram two days after the event to mock his teammate with a location marker designated: "The Moon" and an accompanying comment.

The 29-year-old striker said: "Still laughing at your cross bro."

Aubameyang had tagged Mustafi in the post and it wasn't long until he fired back with a remark of his own.

On his own Instagram story the centre back noted the striker's presence at a Drake gig, and played the error off cooly.

He said: "So you [sic] saying not even Drake's show last night entertained you more than my cross."
