Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang fired Real Madrid and Barcelona transfer warning

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been told that the grass may not be greener away from Arsenal by former Gunner Ian Wright.

The striker's contract in north London is winding down and there has been interest shown from the likes of Inter Milan and Barcelona.

Since Aubameyang moved to Arsenal he has been their most reliable source of goals and last term picked up the Golden Boot.

But with the striker now north of 30 Wright has told the Express that he may not get the sort of deal he was envisaging away from the Emirates.

He said: "If the season was still going and he continued scoring goals then he'd be in a strong position.

"But I think the position he's in now - we're talking about someone who's going to be 32 next summer.

"He is getting into a situation where if he does see that contract out, are the same people going to come for him?

"The contract what he's got on the table from Arsenal, is there going to be another club who's going to give him the same kind of contract?"

Aubameyang has again led the goalscoring charts for the north Londoners, racking up 20 strikes thus far.

The former Borussia Dortmund man is keen to play in the Champions League once again - something that currently looks beyond Arsenal.

But Wright has also cautioned Aubameyang against pushing too hard for a lucrative deal.

He added: "If he does say 'I don't want to sign a deal' and then [Mikel] Arteta starts to use [Gabriel] Martinelli and he starts to score goals and do well, then all of a sudden Aubameyang's position and negotiation point gets weaker.

"I think the longer he waits, in this time, the more it might affect him."
