Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has said that he's "100% here" amid talk that he's handed in a transfer request.
Following the 2-1 home defeat by Chelsea last weekend, there were reports that Mikel Arteta was set to face his first big headache as head coach with worrying news about his star striker.
Speaking on The Transfer Window podcast, journalist Ian McGarry claimed the striker's representatives had made it very clear to the the Gunners hierarchy that their client wants a move away, with two Barcelona and Real Madrid said to be interested.
Aubameyang has opted to remain tight-lipped regarding speculation regarding his future.
Until now. Speaking after the north London outfit beat Manchester United 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium on New Year's Day, the 30-year-old wasn't giving away too much but did say he is at the club for now.
"The English press likes to talk a lot," he told RMC . "For now, I'm here. I'm 100% here."
Aubameyang's future as split opinions amongst fans and media alike. Gunners legend Ray Parlour said earlier in the week that the striker should be sold if he doesn't want to be at the club.
"It's very hard to keep players," he told talkSPORT . "He's got to be one hundred percent behind [Mikel] Arteta as a manager and really give his all if he's going to stay.
"But if he's fifty fifty about whether he wants to stay or go then he's got to make a decision.
"The players have got more power in this era so the best thing from Arsenal's point of view is if he doesn't want to stay, you try and get the best money for him.
"You try and get as much money as you can, he's 30-years-old now so he's not getting any younger.
"Is his best days past him? At the moment he's the one who could score you a goal though, he's an instinct player, brilliant player for Arsenal he's been.
"The goal record he's got is unbelievable, but you can't keep unhappy players.
"We've seen in the past some great players leaving clubs because they don't want to stay there and it won't be any different with Aubameyang and Arsenal."
