Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has added mischief to what are expected to be the final hours of the club's pursuit of Lille forward Nicolas Pepe.
The Ivorian has been in London to undergo his medical ahead of the announcement of his move with a number of players hinting at his progress on social media.
During the Emirates Cup game against Lyon, Aubameyang appeared to borrow the Ligue 1 star's goal celebration as he reacted to putting the ball in the back of the net.
Following that game, he posted a picture on Instagram in which the Gabon international made the gesture again, tagging in Alexandre Lacazette.
The Frenchman followed this up with his own message on the social media platform. He also took a selfie of himself doing what looked like Pepe's goal celebration.
What could this all mean? Arsenal fans were quick to suspect that the two strikers were in cahoots over a plan to unveil the new club record signing.
It wouldn't be the first time that Aubameyang has been involved in such a plot. His own transfer was preceded by a shout out in a video released to mark Henrikh Mkhitaryan's own move to the club.

The Armenian shouted out to his former Borussia Dortmund out of shot and supporters soon put two and two together.
Given all this specualtion, broadcaster beIN SPORT posed the question on Twitter as to whether Aubameyang and Lacazette were stringing the football world along, and the Gabonese forward couldn't resist teasing fans further.
"That's a good question," he tweeted in response to an open question as to whether the two Arsenal attackers had been performing the Pepe goal celebration.
After scoring 22 goals and setting up 11 assists in Ligue 1 last season, the Ivorian has been tipped to complete a fearsome new front three for the Gunners this season, starring alongside Aubameyang and Lacazette.
He is expected to be confirmed as the club's new record signing in a deal worth around £72million before the end of the week, with the 24-year-old targeting the first weekend of the Premier League season in order to make an immediate impact for the Gunners.
