Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang drops massive Arsenal contract hint in Instagram Live video

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's future has been the hot topic as far as Arsenal's summer is so far concerned.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker, who fired home 29 goals in all competitions during the 2019/20 season, is out-of-contract at the Emirates Stadium in less than a year's time and he is yet to commit his future to the club.

With the striker now inside the final 12 months of his current deal in North London, Aubameyang could leave the club for a cut-price fee, with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and French outfit Paris Saint-Germain having been closely linked with him.

However, though no deal is believed to have yet been signed, it is reported that Aubameyang is on the verge of putting pen to paper on a new contract at the Emirates Stadium, a move that would be a massive boost for Mikel Arteta, Aubameyang's Gunners teammates and the club's supporters ahead of the start of the new Premier League season.

Over the last few weeks, Aubameyang and people close to him have frequently posted cryptic hints and suggestions on social media about the prospect of him extending his stay at Arsenal, though nothing has yet been confirmed by Aubameyang or the club.

But that was until now, perhaps.

Participating in an Instagram Live on Thursday evening with his brother - Willy - Aubameyang dropped a massive hint that he has put pen to paper on a new deal, making a revealing admission right at the very end of the video.

Aubameyang said: "Guys, have a good night, enjoy, and hopefully great news for everybody."

That suggests that good news concerning is future is right around the corner, with Arsenal fans desperate to see their star asset put pen to paper on a new deal at the Emirates Stadium.

His importance was highlighted during the 2019/20 campaign, as he practically carried the Gunners on his own at stages during the campaign.

It is expected that Aubameyang will sign a new deal, if he hasn't already. But the club are yet to make any official comment.
