Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang drops Arsenal team hint ahead of Wolves clash

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has dropped a big hint suggesting he will be able to feature against Wolves this evening.

The Gunners have been without the striker for the past three matches, which was initially due to personal reasons, as he looked after his ill mother, and then had to adhere to quarantine regulations.

However, optimism surrounding Aubameyang's potential involvement for the midweek clash against Wolves was raised after the striker was pictured training with the squad on Monday.

That suggested that the quarantine period for the former Borussia Dortmund man had come to an end - and his social media activity suggests that is indeed the case.

The forward teased fans by posting an image of himself in training that read: "Warming up for the celebration" alongside laughing emojis.

Aubameyang's potential return to action provides a boost to Mikel Arteta's ranks, who were held to a goalless draw against Manchester United at the weekend.

However, considering Aubameyang had gone a week without training prior to his involvement on Monday, it could be that the experienced forward has to settle for a role on the bench this evening.

Arteta will be managing his squad carefully due to the hectic schedule this season, with the Gunners facing Wolves, Aston Villa, Leeds United, Manchester City and Leicester City in the Premier League during February.

Their domestic campaign will also be balanced with the Europa League knockout stages, where Arsenal face a double-header against Benfica.
