Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has confirmed that the club's players are now 'waiting' for the arrival of club record signing Nicholas Pepe.
The Gunners are set to confirm the £72m arrival of the Lille winger in the coming hours, having beaten off competition from a host of European clubs in order to secure the signing.
Pepe is one of Europe's most sought after wingers, after he scored 22 goals and provided 11 assists in Ligue 1 last season, causing Unai Emery to make a move for the 24-year-old in order to fill a place in the wide areas of the team.
As well as contributing by scoring himself, the winger arrives with the hope of being able provide chances for attacking duo of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
Both strikers have been having fun over recent days, with social media hints over the arrival of their new teammate and players have posted pictures of them doing the trademark Pepe saluting celebration.
Aubameyang has now confirmed that it is a matter of time before the transfer is announced and that players are in the same position as fans in that they are waiting for it to be made official.
"We're waiting for that!" Was the striker's answer when questioned about Pepe's arrival at Arsenal by BeIN Sports .
Arsenal fans are also waiting in anticipation for news and will be hoping that it won't be too much longer until Nicolas Pepe is officially an Arsenal player.
