Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and 8 transfer exits Edu could sanction at Arsenal

Arsenal will be preparing for a flood of enquiries for as many as 10 players in the winter transfer window.

The Gunners currently have a squad of 27 players and many fringe players are unsettled due to the lack of game time in a season full of ups and downs for the London club.

Teams around Europe will be casting keen eyes on what players become available for transfer in the window as Mikel Arteta looks to find the perfect balance to continue his team’s upturn in form.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Bernd Leno, Florian Balogun, Nicolas Pepe could all be subject to interest from clubs due to their lack of minutes. With Maitland-Niles and Balogun linked with loan moves away to Roma and Middlesbrough respectively.

Troublesome striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could be shown the door by Arteta after being stripped of captaincy after a ‘disciplinary breach’. The 32-year-old Gabon international has been linked with a move to struggling Newcastle or a move abroad to Barcelona.

Alexandre Lacazette, Calum Chambers, Eddie Nketiah, Mohamed Elneny and Sead Kolasinac are approaching the last six months of their contracts and are free to speak to foreign clubs about a free transfer in the summer.

It is reported that Lacazette has rejected the latest contract renewal offer from Arsenal and as it stands, the Frenchman will leave the club for free come end of the season. Arsenal will be keen to keep hold of their striker especially with increasing uncertainty over the future of Aubameyang.

However, Edu and the Gunners could be keen to cash in on the France striker, or any of the others coming to the end of their contracts at the Emirates Stadium, rather than losing them for free next summer.

The January window is not normally one that Arsenal are busy in, but they could be in for a change this time around with such confusion around the futures of a number of players.
