Pierce Brosnan To Star In Son's Werewolf Film, Wolfland

Pierce Brosnan

Renowned actor Pierce Brosnan, best known for his portrayal of James Bond, is set to star in the upcoming werewolf film 'Wolfland,' directed by his son, Sean Brosnan. Pierce Brosnan's illustrious career began in 1979 and skyrocketed to fame with his role in the 1982 TV series 'Remington Steele.' He solidified his status as an icon in 1995 with his portrayal of 007 in 'GoldenEye,' a role he reprised multiple times.

'Wolfland,' as reported by Variety, will be helmed by Sean Brosnan, who will also co-write the script with Matt D'Elia. Sean Brosnan, a talented actor turned director, made his acting debut in 1997 and has since appeared in various films before directing and starring in 'My Father Die' in 2016.

The film follows a young teenager on a quest to save his sister from a werewolf curse, enlisting the help of legendary werewolf hunter Devlin, played by Pierce Brosnan. Described as an 'epic odyssey,' 'Wolfland' promises a thrilling and redefined take on the werewolf sub-genre.

One of the challenges in werewolf movies has been achieving realistic transformation effects. To address this, Sean Brosnan has enlisted The Imaginarium Studios, founded by Andy Serkis, known for his groundbreaking work in visual effects. The studio's involvement aims to deliver transformation effects that rival the iconic scenes from 'An American Werewolf in London.'

Production for 'Wolfland' is scheduled to commence in the U.K. later this year, promising a fresh and innovative approach to the werewolf genre. Fans can anticipate a visually stunning and captivating film experience that pushes the boundaries of traditional werewolf narratives.

Before 'Wolfland,' audiences can catch Pierce Brosnan in 'The Great Lillian Hall' alongside Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates, premiering on MAX on May 31, 2024.
