Pictures show scene of car fire which closed part of A52

Pictures show emergency crews at the scene of a car fire on the A52.

The fire broke out on the eastbound carriageway of the busy road on Wednesday, July 14.

Crews from Stapleford Fire Station closed the carriageway and say the car was 'well alight' when they arrived at the scene.

The blaze was brought under control before the road was fully reopened.

A spokesperson for Stapleford Fire Station said: "Thanks for your patience yesterday [July 14] while we closed the eastbound carriageway of the A52.
