Pictures show motorbike fire thought to have been started deliberately

A motorbike which was engulfed in flames at the weekend is believed to have been set alight on purpose.

A crew from Kingswood Fire Station was called to the fire at Meadow Vale in St George, Bristol, at 9.22pm on September 8.

They extinguished the fire using a water backpack.

Pictures posted on Twitter by the Kingswood Fire Station account show the extent of the fire, as well as the ruin it left behind.

Fire crews believe the blaze was started deliberately.

The weekend also saw emergency services attend a flat fire near Stokes Croft. A kitchen in Carolina House, Dove Street, was destroyed by flames, but no-one was hurt.

A fire chief took the opportunity to warn people to take care when cooking and not to leave food on its own.
