A pub in a Nottinghamshire village has reopened with a "whole new meaning to social circles".
Sam Harrison, owner of the Dovecoat Inn in Laxton, gave an update as to what the pub will look like as it reopens on Super Saturday (July 4).
The Government gave the go-ahead for pubs and bars to reopen from 6am, news which will most likely come as a relief to those craving a cold pint at their local.
And to adhere to social distancing guidance The Dovecoat Inn, which stands at the junction with Mains Street and Bar Road, will reopen with bright white circles which trace a safe boundary around each outdoor bench and table.
Mr Harrison said: "Our new ingenious idea to socially distance our outdoor spaces.
"We've brought a whole new meaning to social circles. With the help of Bingham Ground Services in Sutton-on-Trent we have separated our picnic tables and outdoor spaces to provide socially distanced and practical areas for you to enjoy your food and drink while keeping your friends and family safe.
"We haven't seen anybody else doing this so please respect our efforts and do not remove the tables.
"They have been placed at specific distances apart to keep things as safe as possible. We can't wait to see you."
In Nottingham, drinkers will have to prove they are not from Leicester or face being turned away from pubs after the city was placed back into strict lockdown due to a rise in virus cases.
The neighbourhood inspector in charge of Nottingham city centre is also warning the public to be responsible as they are not returning to "the pub it used it be."
