Pictures show aftermath of crash involving two cars

Pictures of the aftermath of a crash involving two cars have been released by emergency services.

The incident happened in Steam Mill Lane, Ripley, just before midday on Thursday, May 30.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue service, East Midlands Ambulance Service and the police attended the scene of the crash

Steam Mill Lane was closed while the emergency services dealt with the incident, in which a white Nissan Juke was severely damaged.

Derbyshire Police's Amber Valley response unit tweeted the pictures and said: "Steam Mill Lane, Ripley has now reopened following a two vehicle RTC.

"Awaiting vehicle recovery so please take care still whilst passing the scene. Thank you to EMAS and Derbyshire Fire and Rescue service for their assistance."
