These pictures show the aftermath of a crash where a Land Rover veered off the M1 and smashed into a bridge.
Officers from Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit say the Freelander had come off the road on the M1 at junction 29.
Pictures from the scene show the Land Rover after it came to a stop having ploughed through a roadside barrier and eventually a bridge, leaving rubble strewn across a grassy verge.
An ambulance is also visible in the images released by officers, who say fortunately there were no injuries despite the severity of the crash.
Speaking of the incident, which happened on Saturday, July 4, Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit said: "M1 J29. Single vehicle collision.
"Freelander driver seeing if it was fitted with 'Turbo Boost'. It isn't. No injuries."
