Shocking pictures have been released after fire crews attended a blaze that started after a dishwasher was left running.
The images by East Leake Fire Station show the damaged kitchen and the disposed dishwasher.
The incident was posted on Thursday, December 26 after what the crew described as a "busy Christmas period".
It added the fire had started after a dishwasher was left on while occupants had gone out.
The Facebook post which included pictures from another incident, said: "The East Leake crew have had a busy Christmas period.
"We’ve just returned from a kitchen fire when occupants left the dishwasher on when going out.
"Please be overly cautious when you go out and switch electrical items including Christmas lights, off. Have a happy and safe Christmas and New Year."
