Pictures of coronavirus testing facility set up at Swansea's Liberty Stadium

Pictures show the new coronavirus testing unit for health and social care staff set up at Swansea's Liberty Stadium.

Work on the drive-through started on May 6 and was completed days later.

It is the second facility to open in the Swansea Bay area, alongside a testing unit in Margam which opened in early March.

The Margam unit, set up just off the M4, currently has the capacity to test around 120 people a day. The new six-lane facility at Swansea's Liberty Stadium will be able to test an additional 360 people every day.

The Liberty testing unit is located in the VIP car park and will have its own dedicated vehicle entrance. Other car parking areas around the Liberty Stadium will not be affected.

The testing centre is for health and social care staff attending by appointment only and not for the general public.

Swansea Bay University Health Board said this second testing facility would allow easier access for health and social care staff living in the Swansea area and provided the option for increased capacity if that was required in line with the all Wales testing plan.
