The canal was left in a shocking state on Thursday night after hundreds of people went drinking in the sun.
As is the norm in Dublin for some people when it's sunny, there was a sea of people outside The Barge soaking up the sun and sipping on some drinks.
Huge crowds gathered all along the canal at Portobello from early on in the evening but the scenes weren't so nice when the people had cleared.
Pictures have emerged which shows that huge amounts of litter including cans and paper bags that were scattered all over the area.
One person said: "It's absolutely shocking that there is very little police patrol.
"As you can see it's filthy and it will get worse this weekend with the good weather."
The crowds stayed until late on in the night making it a noisy encounter for neighbours.
"Some of the people didn't take into consideration the people living around that area. One person urinated in someone's garden, probably because the queue for the toilet was too long."
Friday is set to be another busy day down at The Barge as the fine weather continues.
