Princess Eugenie has given birth to a baby boy and shared a picture of the precious moment he grabbed his mother and father Jack Brooksbank's hand for the first time.
The newest member of the royal family was born today, Tuesday February 9 at 8:55am, and weighs just 8lbs and 1oz.
The palace released an official announcement on the Royal Family Twitter account alongside a picture of the happy couple saying: "Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021, at 0855hrs at The Portland Hospital. Jack Brooksbank was present. The baby weighs 8lbs 1oz."
The statement went on to say: "The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news. This is Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's first child, The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York's first grandchild, and the ninth great-grandchild for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."
The baby's arrival means that Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson have become grandparents for the first time.
The new arrival is also now 11th in line to the throne which takes Prince Edward down to 12th position

Princess Eugenie also took to her personal Instagram page to show a beautiful black and white picture of her little boy holding both her and her husband Jack Brookbank's hands. She put three little blue lovehearts beside it.
Scots TV presenter Jenni Falconer was amongst the first to congratulate her saying 'Ah Congratulations to you both. '
