Pictures as Dublin Fire Brigade deal with burning shed with reports of people inside in Ballymun

Dublin Fire Brigade responded to a frightening call of a burning shed in North Dublin on Wednesday evening with reports of people inside.

Crew rushed to the scene in Ballymun after concerned locals called claiming that people could possibly be trapped in the burning shed.

Firefighters were forced to use sledgehammers at the scene to break down the shed wall.

The crew searched the premises as smoke billowed out from the building but despite the reports from locals, the emergency services found nobody inside.

Dublin Fire Brigade said on Twitter: "Overnight we were called to a shed fire with reports of people inside in Ballymun.

"Firefighters used sledge hammers to gain access, no one found after a search of the building."
