Hundreds of people began the annual Cycle Against Suicide in Dublin this morning.
Kicking off from Westmanstown and heading west, returning to Dublin for May 6, the cyclists are raising awareness around mental health and suicide.
With over 800 people dying by suicide in Ireland each year, and research indicating that thousands more contemplate it, the cycle is trying to highlight the personal challenges facing many people.
The last day of the event will coincide with the beginning of D a rkness Into Light, another initiative aimed at raising awareness around suicide and mental health.

The cycle has been endured by motivational speakers, sports stars, comedians, musicians and cyclists, thousands of cyclists all coming together to spread the message: "It's OK not to feel OK and it's absolutely OK to ask for help. "
