Picture This support act at the 3Arena Lewis Capaldi nabbed himself a Copper Face Jacks gold card but he's angered his Dublin fans

Scottish hitmaker Lewis Capaldi is currently in the capital as he supports Picture This on their groundbreaking five-night stay at the 3Arena.

The 'Someone You Loved' singer-songwriter will also be back in the city this November when he plays the Olympia Theatre.

His love song has been perched at the top of the charts for the past couple of weeks.

Capaldi is renowned for his bizarre Instagram and Snapchat stories and fans seem to love the fact that he has no filter whatsoever.

So it came as no surprise when 2FM DJ Eoghan McDermott tried to hook the singer up with free entry to the famous Dublin nightclub, Copper Face Jacks, that Capaldi replied with a cool "mate, I don't fuck about" and a picture of the prestigious Coppers gold card.

When is Lewis Capaldi coming to Dublin's Olympia Theatre and how can I get tickets?

The gold card, as described by McDermott means you can "skip the queue, get free entry as well as bringing a mate in for free too."

Dublin fans were giddy when they heard about Capaldi's enthusiasm for the Harcourt Street establishment but those who attended the concert last night were left raging when there was no sign of the Scotsman inside Coppers for some after partying.

One eager fan said: "I feel like I was lied to that Lewis Capaldi was going to coppers" while another added "Lewis Capaldi are you coming coppers cause if not I'll go home."

Fans are still holding out that Lewis will make an appearance in the nightclub before the string of concerts are over.

When is the Playing Fields music festival in Clane, Co Kildare and how can I get tickets?

Picture This kicked off their five-night stint on Wednesday March 27 and will perform right through until Sunday March 31.

They were also the most streamed Irish act of 2017 and the biggest selling Irish artist of 2018.

Their second album MDRN LV went straight to number 1 in the Irish charts when it was released in February following the hit debut single “One Drink”.
