Picture shows car fire which broke out near Stapleford garden centre

A picture shows a car fire which broke out near a garden centre.

The blaze happened near Bardills Garden Centre in Toton Lane, Stapleford on Sunday, September 26.

Fire crews from nearby Long Eaton fire station were mobilised to deal with the fire on Sunday afternoon.

A picture taken from the scene, and released on social media by Stapleford Fire Station, shows huge plumes of smoke billowing into the sky during the incident.

Stapleford Fire Station posted on Facebook: "Big shout out to our friends from Long Eaton Fire Station who are dealing with this blaze close to Bardills Garden Centre."

The fire station, who were sent an image from the scene by a member of the public, reminded people to call 999 if they spot a similar fire break out in Nottinghamshire.

Stapleford Fire Station did not attend the incident.
