Picture Scotland: Solitary dog walker catches the last of the winter sun near Fort William

A solitary dog walker catching the last of the winter sun is this week’s Picture Scotland winner.

The stunning snap taken in Fort William, by Mark Reynolds, show the beauty of the season in this country.

Also appreciating its surroundings was a majestic stag at Glen Etive, captured by Reiss McGuire.

Reiss said: "I was driving along and didn't expect to see this magnificent creature but I turned a corner and there it was.

"I tried to keep my distance from it got close enough for this photograph."

At Leith Docks, Alison Humphreys reckoned a ship was doing a great impression of Jaws while it was less scary at Lochan na h-achlaise and the Black Mount range Rannoch Moor, when Frances Waite captured this snowy scene.
