Picture Scotland: Scot snaps beautiful winter's night photo of Arbroath harbour

Joseph Patterson caught this photo of Arbroath harbour on a cold, twinkly night.

There was no wind, so the reflection from the windows and the street lights is striking and clear.

The Moon threatening to peep out behind the clouds adds great contrast.

The stunning photo makes Joseph our £100 Picture Scotland winner this week.

Meanwhile, fellow snapper Ross Duff got lucky on an early-morning shoot at Portmahomack.

Looking across the Dornoch Firth, he captured the sun rising behind a rainbow.

The pastel shades and dramatic shapes make this a great shot.
