Picture Scotland: Scot captures beautiful shot of rock formation near Cockburnspath

This land is our land, this land is your land... and our readers captured it all.

As usual, our weekly Picture Scotland comp was, much like the weather, heating up as our amateur snappers took the opportunity to show off Scotland while basking in the glorious sunshine.

Ian Barnes snapped his girlfriend Pamela enjoying some rays and used her profile, with a popular local rock formation, to focus on Cove Harbour, near Cockburnspath.

His inventive pic saw him take home our £100 prize this week.

Up the coast, in North Berwick, John Cuthbert used a long exposure for the Seacliff beach rock bowl.

Kristeen Finlayson turned Point on the Isle of Lewis into the Caribbean with a sun-drenched picture taken from the front door of her house.

Jokingly adding: "No filter needed up here."

What a view, we promise we aren't jealous in the slightest, nope, not at all.

Thistle do nicely from Mark Reynolds. His shot captured 'Scotland in a nutshell' with the obligatory thistle, mountains, green wilderness and a wee bit of cloud thrown in for good measure.
