Picture Scotland: Romantic shot of James Bond film location Glen Etive takes this week's top prize

This week's Picture Scotland winner shows why Scotland has been chosen as the backdrop for so many great films.

Frances Waite’s stunning photo shows why Glen Etive was chosen for film's such as Skyfall and Braveheart.

The photo murmurs romance and stirs the blood as Scotland gets ready for Burns Night on Monday.

With the hills reflecting off the perfectly still waters of Loch Etive it's a perfect example of why Scotland's scenery is some of the best in the world.

Frances described Glen Etive as one of Scotland's most beautiful drives, adding that it is "12 miles of breathtaking, mountains, lochs and waterfalls".

Kieran McAuley took us back to nature with a beautiful shot of the Coe river waterfall in Glencoe during a typical Scottish rainy day.

While the wintry conditions also played a big part in Maureen Hall's snapshot on Glasgow Harbour Bridge on her walk home.
