Picture Scotland: Nostalgia inducing shot of Glasgow's 'Smartie Tube' tunnel wins £100 prize

An famous tunnel dubbed the Smartie Tube is the winner of this week’s Picture Scotland competition.

Ian Barr’s shot of the landmark SEC tunnel walkway in Glasgow, which leads to the concert venue, will evoke memories for music fans.

The iconic walkway is the first thing you usually would have seen on your way to some of the country's top gigs and performances.

We hope it's a reminder that things will get better soon and hopefully it won't be long before we're back walking through it again.

Still in Glasgow, Gary Hoey took a fabulous night-time shot from above the M8 at Ruchazie in the east end looking west using a long
exposure.

The recent snowfall and Scotland’s biggest mountain were the inspirations for many entries.

Eileen Power’s photo of a snow-capped Ben Nevis reflected in the water below was taken from Corpach Locks on the Caledonian Canal.

And Mairead MacPhee’s image shows the mountain bathed in a starry sky, with the Old Boat of Caol in the foreground.
