Picture Scotland: Beautiful winter snapshot of the Falls of Clyde wins £100 prize

Brrrr! Just looking at this ice-covered winning photograph makes you want to reach for another jumper.

Vicky Scott is this week’s Picture Scotland winner for her striking photograph of the Falls of Clyde.

She’s added an otherworldly feel to the famous landmark as the trees sit covered in frost, a swathe of sunlight warming up the blue frost tones.

Elsewhere, Donald Wilson and his wife were making the most of the crisp weather on their daily walk near Balmuildy Woods, where they managed to capture a photo of a very happy fox in full flight.

Robert Harrison spotted three Blackface Tups enjoying the winter sunshine in Glenartney, Perthshire.

Sylvia Watson took an atmospheric shot of the Kilmarnock railway arches looking out onto the Old High church.
