We've received some really stunning images overnight of the annular solar eclipse seen across Asia and America. This photograph was taken in Gardnerville in Nevada. This year the eclipse produced an unusual 'ring of fire' which only happens when the sun, moon and Earth are at a specific point of their orbits and is not due to happen again until 2023 Photograph: Cathleen Allison/AP
