Picking a location the only hurdle in the way of Katie Taylor super-fight in April, says Amanda Serrano

Amanda Serrano has admitted that picking a location is the final hurdle between her and Katie Taylor's April showdown.

Serrano handily took care of Simone Da Silva inside three rounds at Matchroom Boxing's Miami Fight Night, and has now set her sights on the Bray native.

And after initial reports that the bout was all but done to headline Madison Square Garden's 'Hulu Theater', promoter Eddie Hearn and Serrano herself have indicated that it could take place on pay-per-view in London's O2 Arena.

She said: "The deal is pretty much done, we just need a location and that's pretty much it.

"I love fighting in my hometown, but one of the great things about boxing is the chance to fight abroad and I've never been to the UK..

"Katie Taylor deserves to fight in the UK, and the outcome is going to be the same either way, either I win or she does and that won't change no matter where we are."

The pair are two of women's boxing's top names, and have been on a collision course since Taylor's pro debut in 2016.

"I'm excited for this fight," Serrano added.

"I can't wait to share a ring with Katie Taylor she is a wonderful, incredible fighter.

"I always step up my game against someone with a lot of buzz... She's the best!"
