Pickerington product Madison Greene joins 2019 Ohio State recruiting class

Pickerington Central standout Madison Greene has joined an already loaded Ohio State basketball 2019 recruiting class. She had originally committed to Penn State, but the program released her from her signing because of a coaching change. She joins a class that already has five players in the top 65. They include McDonald’s All-American Kierstan Bell (No. 6), Rikki Harris (No. 24), Kaelynn Satterfield (No. 39) and Jacy Sheldon (No. 41).

The class also includes a pair of talented international prospects in Aixa Wone from Pamplona, Spain and Rebeka Mikulášiková from Nitra, Slovakia. Fellow Ohio standout Braxtin Miller also joined the program this spring as a graduate transfer from Oklahoma State.

Greene led Pickerington to the state title in 2018 and a runner-up finish this past season. She averaged 16 points, a whopping 5.8 assists, and 5.6 rebounds per game last season.

“I’m extremely excited to welcome Madison to the OSU family,” said head coach Kevin McGuff. “She has a tremendous work ethic and great competitive character. Her ability to make those around her better is what makes her a terrific addition to our program.”

With Greene added to what Ohio State has already assembled in Columbus, it might be time to put the Big Ten on notice like … yesterday.
