Pickerings to supply modular buildings to covid-19 test centres

Modular building supplier Pickerings has won a multimillion-pound government contract to provide temporary facilities for use as covid-19 test centres.

The Derbyshire-based company will supply more than 200 building modules with related products and services to be installed on sites nationwide.

The temporary testing facilities will be ready to use shortly.

As well as building the modules, Pickerings will provide equipment including groundworks, wi-fi telecommunications, water supply and fire alarms.

Managing director Neil Moss said “We are very pleased to be supporting the NHS and helping the nation’s fight against the covid-19 pandemic.

“We will be supplying building solutions from all our depots and supporting local communities across the country.

“This contract shows the flexibility our modular buildings provide in meeting a variety of uses as well as our ability to respond quickly to immediate requirements.”
