Everton are hosts to Chelsea at Goodison Park this Saturday as the Premier League 2022/23 season kicks off.
Everton finished last season in 16th after a gruelling relegation battle. The Blues stunned Chelsea with a 1-0 at win at home during their fight for safety that took them two points behind Burnley and Leeds United.
Earlier this week, Everton confirmed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be missing from the opening match of the season due to picking up a knee injury. Speaking to the media today, Frank Lampard said "We're probably looking at around six weeks on the injury, I saw a lot of crazy rumours yesterday.
"We have to work around it and other players will have to step up and do the job."
Everton will also be without Andre Gomes due to injury and Salomon Rondon due to suspension.
