It has been a summer of protracted sagas for Spurs fans, first awaiting the appointment of a new manager, and then awaiting the fate of star striker Harry Kane.
As it turned out, Nuno Espirito Santo was the man to take over in N17 and Harry Kane, perhaps despite his wishes, very much remains a Tottenham player.
Alongside new director of football Fabio Paratici, Nuno has crafted a transfer strategy that saw five new signings arrive in north London.
Most notably Cristian Romero, the Serie A Best Defender award winner in 2020/21, from Atalanta - as well as Bryan Gil, Pierluigi Gollini, Pape Matar Sarr and finally Emerson Royal from Barcelona on deadline day.
