Pick your Newcastle United starting XI to face Everton amid Gordon decision

Newcastle United will be hoping to build upon their sensational rout of Tottenham Hotspur and avenge last season's defeat at Goodison Park when they face Everton on Thursday night. Eddie Howe's side now sit third following the 6-1 victory, and will look to extend their six-point cushion over their nearest rivals in the race for the Champions League.

The Magpies head coach now faces a selection dilemma in terms of rewarding his squad by sticking to the same starting eleven, or rotating ahead of a hectic run-in. The trip to Merseyside is followed by a home clash with Southampton on Sunday, with league leaders Arsenal due at St James' Park the following weekend.

Fabian Schar is a doubt to face the Toffees, with the Switzerland international facing a late fitness test. Jamaal Lascelles is in line for a rare start, while Howe confirming Bruno Guimaraes is fine to feature despite ongoing concerns over an ankle injury.
