Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce will have to make at least one change to his defence when the Magpies take on Tottenham on Wednesday evening.

But his options at the back may be limited, with skipper Jamaal Lascelles a doubt for the visit of Jose Mourinho's side.

Danny Rose can't play against his parent club, so Bruce will have to decide who fills in at left-back.

Javier Manquillo has deputised there with mixed success, while Matt Ritchie could also be used in that role.

Isaac Hayden and Sean Longstaff are both still out, meaning Bruce must again choose who will partner Jonjo Shelvey in the centre of midfield.

Fabian Schar started against Watford, but could be needed in his usual central defence position should Lascelles be ruled out, meaning Nabil Bentaleb and Matty Longstaff will compete for the starting pick.

Up front, Dwight Gayle continues his goalscoring form with his third since the restart against Watford, and could get the nod again over Joelinton.
