Pick your Hibs team to face Kilmarnock at Rugby Park

Paul Heckingbottom’s team selections since taking over at Hibs have been incredibly consistent, using mainly the same 12 player on a regular basis, with one or two more making fleeting appearances off the bench more in recent weeks.

Last week’s defeat at Ibrox meant Hibs are now no longer chasing a European place, however unlikely it may have been, and have little to play for save for making sure they finish above Hearts.

Even then, that is likely assured given their neighbours ‘ manager admitted his focus is now the Scottish Cup final rather than where they finish in the table.

So now Heckingbottom has the opportunity to try different things with nothing to lose away to Kilmarnock on Saturday.

Thomas Agyepong is in need of minutes after having his season wrecked by injury, and has come off the bench in Hibs’ last three outings.

Paul Heckingbottom says Hibs may not enter SPFL Reserve League next season

Ryan Gauld started against Rangers last week but it’s fair to say didn’t do himself any favours. A chance to get that performance out his system could be a shrewd decision.

Fraser Murray is another that has come off the bench semi-regularly, while the older legs of Mark Milligan and Darren McGregor might get an afternoon off.

Up front, there’s less room for maneuver, with Oli Shaw the only real option aside from Flo Kamberi or Marc McNulty.
