'Pick up the bag of drugs you left behind' Scots cops bust abandoned campsite and invite revellers for a 'wee chat' at station

Cops have invited revellers who left a bag of 'illegal drugs ' to pick them up at a Scots police station.

Officers discovered the stash while patrolling rural sites in Tayside over the weekend.

Now they are encouraging owners of the substances to step into the Pitlochry Police Office for 'a wee chat'.

It comes after they traced a campsite at Loch Rannoch on Saturday which 'appeared to have been abandoned in a hurry'.

Tayside police said: "Our officers were out patrolling various rural locations around Tayside this weekend.

"We’re pleased to report that, while we did receive calls to attend a few places, no serious incidents occurred, and there were notably fewer people attending our picturesque spots.

"Nothing to do with the heavy rain. Not at all.

"We know that there were still incidents of antisocial behaviour, inconsiderate parking and the like in a few places, which was disappointing, but these were the exception rather than the norm.

"We spoke to a number of people in various locations, and everyone we dealt with who was asked to leave or move away did so when they were safely able to.

"Although there were still a few who were determined to spoil it for others - officers patrolling Loch Rannoch on Saturday came across this campsite which appeared to have been abandoned in a hurry.

"If the former residents would like to reclaim the bag of illegal drugs they left behind, then pop into Pitlochry Police Office for a wee chat."
