Each week, we pick out nine of the best ways to spend your weekend in our fine city.
We have a couple of great ideas to mark International Women's Day on Sunday, as well as the best in comedy, music, dance and more.
MAGIC
Keith Barry – Insanity at the Olympia Theatre (Thursday to Saturday)
Three nights of mind-bending entertainment by the TV hypnotist and mentalist, who claims to have “brain-hacked” celebrities including Bono, Nicole Scherzinger and Morgan Freeman.
THEATRE
The Lieutenant of Inishmore at the Gaiety Theatre (until March 14)
The current run is nearing its end, so there are just two more weekends in which to catch Martin McDonagh’s black comedy about a militant republican who discovers that his cat has been killed.
GIG

Jon Hopkins at BGE Theatre (Friday)
Having built his reputation on a big, dramatic and emotional take on techno, the English musician’s current tour takes him to seated venues and back in touch with what he calls “the meditative side of my music”.
CLUB
DJ Krush at The Sugar Club (Friday)
The veteran DJ is a cornerstone of the Japanese hip-hop community, having collaborated with acts including DJ Shadow, Roni Size and Coldcut among many others.
COMEDY
Jarlath Regan - Notions Eleven at Vicar Street (Friday)
The stand-up comedian behind the wildly popular An Irishman Abroad podcasts will no doubt be relaying some of his experiences after many years spent in London. The show will be filmed for a forthcoming online release.
POETRY
Lunchtime reading for International Women’s Day at Poetry Ireland (Friday)
A long list of our finest poets including Aifric MacAodha, Catherine Ann Cullen and Catherine Phil MacCarthy will be reading from their work on Friday lunchtime in order to mark International Women’s Day. Donations to Women's Aid are encouraged.
CINEMA
Onward (out on Friday)
The latest Pixar offering sees Chris Pratt and Tom Holland play a pair of elf brothers in search of magic in suburbia. Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Octavia Spencer and Pixar veteran John Ratzenberger also lend their voices.
DANCE
Brendan Cole – Show Man at BGE Theatre (Friday and Saturday)
A dance extravaganza from the former bad boy of Strictly Come Dancing – fans are promised 'every style of ballroom and Latin dance' and music from Purple Rain to The Greatest Showman, performed by a live band.
FAMILY

Herstory: Ireland’s Epic Women at EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum (Sunday)
A trip to EPIC is always a great way to get curious minds thinking about Ireland’s past. Marking International Women’s Day, this guided tour will act as an introduction to some of our greatest women, followed by time to explore the museum at your own pace.
