Blogger, journalist and DJ Nialler9’s new club night at Lost Lane is free in and focuses on “electronic, disco & 80s music of a euphoric nature”. This week’s guest DJ is Caoi de Barra of Wyvern Lingo.

The Dead Don't Die (out on Friday)

Jim Jarmusch's latest film is a light-hearted zombie comedy with a stellar cast led by Bill Murray and also featuring Tilda Swinton, Danny Glover and Iggy Pop. The Irish Time called it "so much fun that one slightly regrets the eventual arrival of the zombies".

THEATRE

Copper Face Jacks: The Musical (Leon Farrell/Photocall Ireland)

Copper Face Jacks: the Musical at the Olympia Theatre (running until August 2)

The new musical from Paul Howard, creator of Ross O’Carroll-Kelly, is set to do for Coppers what Anglo: The Musical did for the banks. Or something. Tickets are still available for the opening weekend – don’t miss out.

Get your artist's head on and drink as much tea as you like in Temple Bar with this fun, instructor-led event. Materials are provided, prizes are on offer and you get to take your masterpieces home.

Talkatives – A Lyrical Poetry Slam at The Workman’s Club (Sunday)

Performance poetry is having a moment with the success of Londoner Kate Tempest, and you can check out the best of what our own city has to offer on Sunday. Four rappers and five poets will put their microphone skills to the test in front of three judges and a live audience who will have their say too.
