A different brand of athleticism hit the footy field at Charlestown on Sunday, with young dancers delivering half-time entertainment for Newcastle Rugby League fans.
The troupes took to St John Oval at half-time of Sunday's Newcastle Rugby League match between Central and The Entrance as part of Central Charlestown's community day.
Celebrations off the field included face painting, inflatable carnival games and free entry for Central and Dudley juniors wearing their club colours.
The half-time performers were from Gateshead's Studi-O Dance.
The younger of the dancers delivered a spectacle in pink, while older performers donned black to entertain the crowd under crystal-clear skies.
The sporting stage added to a big month for young Hunter entertainers, with Star Struck captivating audiences at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre in a run of recent performances.
In Sunday's main Newcastle Rugby League match, The Entrance ran out 26-12 winners thanks to a Michael Zakhia double.
