Photos show 'major sewer collapse' which has partially closed busy Nottingham road

Work has started on fixing a major sewer collapse on a busy Nottingham road.

Emergency crews have set up signs and begun work on the collapse in Brownlow Drive, Rise Park.

The repairs got underway on Friday, January 21, and it is currently unclear how long the work will take.

In a roadworks bulletin, Nottingham City Council warned people to expect minor delays, which the authority said was due to a "major sewer collapse".

The work is being carried out by Severn Trent Water.
